There are many ways to get involved:
Join a Group
The Groups focus on an individual area and develop projects to improve local resiliance within that area. Anyone can join a group and propose a project.
Current groups are:
Start a new Group
We have lots of ideas for projects involving local currency, cycling, waste and water to name a few, but not enough people yet to make them a reality. If you are interested in setting up a new group, get in touch with us.
Help on the Community Allotment
If you have expertise you could contribute, or alternatively know nothing about food growing, but want to learn more, come to one of our work days. The allotment now has a shed so we can store donated tools for people who want to come along and help.
Help with administration
We need help with graphics - producing posters etc, and also publicity - putting up posters, handing out flyers, getting articles in the local press etc - basically getting ourselves known more widely in Tunbridge Wells.
Networking
We want to make links with other groups who share our vision - if you belong to, or know of another group working towards a low carbon future, please tell us so we can support each other.
Talks
We are happy to provide speakers for local groups - youth groups, church groups, Residents Associations, etc., so we can spread the word about the Transition movement. We have put together a Powerpoint presentation (would need access to a projector) or we can talk without it.
Please e-mail us : transitiontwells@googlemail.com if you are interested.
